Space Shuttle

Postby Gijs » Thu Jan 31, 2008 5:45 pm

Hi,

I'm working on the Space Shuttle (STS) converting from Orbiter Space Simulator to FlightGear.
The modelling part is going great, but the "internal" thing is (stil) something I don't understand. I mean the Jasim, JBsim, Nasal files etc: things as the landing gear, engine, steering, instruments...

Is there anyone out there wo would help me? Please post it! You don't need to do the whole programming, I'm happy with every little bit of working pieces!

Thanks,
Gijs

BTW: I already have the cockpit, but without (working) instruments.

THe model until now:

Hi Gijs!

I could help you out with .XMLs, as I do have existing Xmls for my non- (not yet!) existing
3D-Cockpit. :) (Im stuck in the process somehow...)

Ciao,

Adrian

@Maerchenprinz: Ah, that's very nice. Just tell me what kind of .xml you wanna start with and what you need for it. Like data, sounds, models etc.

@New-at: Well, maybey we could place the ISS somewhere above the earth :P?

I've got some new screens of the cockpit and the outside. I'm now placing all the textures at the faces. A lot is not yet done as you can see.

But it still seems pointless. Such fictional liveries are probably not going to be worth redistributing. You'd be better off just modifying the default texture.

NASA is the first, last, and only operator of the shuttle.
