This I got to see. If you sink the Truman on takeoff your gonna be in big trouble!

Let's hope the wind from behind compensates the carrier's speed. And no one touch the lift please, nor fart :D

So the Shuttle was a Navy project :mrgreen:


It actually was part US Airforce.... But who knows, maybe the Navy had a stake in it as well.

(What strikes me is how it really dwarves the carrier superstructure - I had not expected that

Yes, indeed!

A friend of mine visited, not so long ago, KSC and he came back with a very similar comment, the beast gives a sensation of hugeness!

Did not have the chance to do that yet, but that is in my to-do list, plus that is Atlantis there!!
