Hey Vinny.
For the log , you can have a look in game under debug on the top menu and nasal consol and copy paste what is shown after Initialisation with pictures.

Also for the specs, maybe a bit more precision ( cpu ram and gpu)

Well, what do you try to do, what happens instead, how does it happen?

It's kind of difficult to debug a problem based on a vague description of it - for me everything sets up fine, for GinGin everything sets up fine, for wlbragg everything sets up fine - so there's a difference on your side which must cause an issue, but we won't know what it is unless you tell us something about what you're doing.

Here is computer specs:

CPU: quad core 3.2 GHZ
RAM: 16 GB
Graphics card: Nvidia 1080 8 VRAM

Here is what happened

I load up Flightgear
Click on the airplane symbol
Click on space
Select launch position
Click on fly
Wait until the simulator finish loading
I found my space shuttle with the ET and SRBs attached laying on the ground in horizontal position!

that's not version 3.2, then... 3.2 was released October 15, 2014... what you have sounds like 2018.2 or 2019.1 but your F10->Help->About screen in the sim will tell you exactly...

"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

what location did you select? there's only a few that are appropriate for the shuttle to launch from...

Sorry about that, I have a exact same launch problem like what mixam have!! Question for you, where is the Flightgear command line options located? Thanks!

Cheers,
Vincent

Really? He had

upon SRB ignition the whole craft just pitches over and explodes

whereas you described

I found my space shuttle with the ET and SRBs attached laying on the ground in horizontal position!

i.e. he had a vertical stack which pitched over later, you seem to have a horizontal stack from the beginning. Doesn't sound like the same to me...

Okay, first move the launch location to Kennedy Space Center - there's plenty of AI/MP/models at Honolulu which can potentially interfere with placement and test again. Then, check the option to start paused, when FG appears go to external view (Shuttle will be in the air, that's normal), unpause and report what happens.

Okay, I tried like what you suggested, the space still does the same thing!

Either you didn't do what I suggested or you didn't report it, but it's really unlikely that starting paused and unpausing gives you a Shuttle in horizontal attitude from the beginning - you should see some sort of dynamics.

To re-iterate - it works fine here on three different computers, it works for others, so this is something peculiar to your setup - we can't magically guess what it might be, so if you give us minimal information, it won't be possible to figure this out.

Either you didn't do what I suggested or you didn't report it,

check the option to start paused, when FG appears go to external view (Shuttle will be in the air, that's normal), unpause

report what happens

As in what do you see...
Does it drop then fall over?
Does it fall over without dropping?
Is it starting on is side or first upright then falling over?
Do you see anything underneath it when it first starts, while paused?
You have to pay attention to details that are happening and then report back here in order for someone to help you.
If someone ask you to do something and then for you to describe the outcome, then that is what they need in order to help you.

Starting the sim paused will help identify a critical step in the initialization of the Shuttle. What happens immediately after un-pausing is the next critical step in identifying what is happening.

Yes, the space shuttle stack fall over from the vertical position to the horizontal position.

I select the space shuttle from the launch position

I select nasa shuttle landing facility as the starting location

I start FG paused, when the FG appears, the space shuttle stack is in the vertical position, but when I unpause FG, the space shuttle stack falls from the vertical position to the horizontal position like when I start FG unpaused.
