Great
A readme file is easily created (in the liveries dir)

Will put this high in my todo list priority.

About "easily contacting"; Do you suggest listing email addresses? I will feel a bit cautious over that more sensitive topic

Thanks Gooney!
If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it? Probably not, because if they don’t recognise their freedoms, they’ll let their freedoms fall

Just the names as posted on the database should be enough, the people involved can usually be found through the forum so there's no real need for any other data.

I was a bit thinking along the lines of maybe in the future using <description>, <author> and <references> tags could be used in the livery's xml file in a way similar to what sometimes is used in the aircraft-set.xml file.

I think that's probably the best way, I did it with my AI models and if I create any more liveries will add it to them, if I remember ;)

@TheMadGreek, @Gijs, and Others interested in the topic of Aircraft size expansion after liveries installation

FGDATA next with submodules: http://sourceforge.net/p/fgdata/submodules/ci/next/tree/

Aircraft size directory over commit 0627350cef0f2f629195b3ae837eefcfd3a12288
(before the Livery database import began)

Code: Select all
@./Aircraft
$du -sh
14G
$du -h
13816420

Aircraft size directory over commit 766f4f72d893b2ed03758fc77d884e6e7b2ad4d3
(After the Livery database import got completed)
==several other arcraft improvements and new models added. So difference is not accurately depicting only liveries' size

Code: Select all
@./Aircraft
$du -sh
15G
$du -h
15085436

Difference::
15085436-13816420=1.21GB
