Reasonably regular ATC at KXTA

Postby murderbybox » Thu Nov 19, 2015 8:46 pm

I shall be ATC'ing at KXTA Homey Airport AKA Area 51, please, stay above 80 miles out above FL180 unless you are a military aircraft. Download KXTA custom scenery at https://github.com/IAHM-COL/KXTA-fg-customScenery , my callsign when ATCing is ATCpdwn *Short for Air Traffic Controller Padawan*. Padawan is my usual callsign when flying, so come join me! I am ATC'ing at KXTA the second this post comes up, i will be for a while :D Oh and on a side note: USE ENGLISH PLEASE, and start at parking positions!

FGCOM/Mumble/Teamspeak?

Also, as KLAS is 70 nautical miles distant to KXTA, and KLAS airspace extends well into your declared airspace, you may want to revise your 80nm minimum. At least review the charts on SkyVector and figure out where KXTA military space is.

Will be flying there! Hope to see you.

Ah and that is the point where most pilots decide it isn't worth the trip if its just for text-to-text

Safe flying and best of luck with the ATC, i may even pop in some time

Cheers

they are easy enough to find, download and install, though... uncle google has all the answers ;)
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Well, for your information if you download ATC-pie you would not need to "get" anything since FGCom is packaged inside it.

Or if you download Openradar FGcom will also be readily available providing you configure it

Is this custom scenery not in Terrasync? And when do you plan to be on again? I have been wanting to organize a flight from KSUU to Homey.
