ATC-pie is a radar air traffic control simulation program for the FlightGear multi-player network.

[Linux] Labels on radar are cutoff, unable to read

Postby Progman » Sun Dec 17, 2017 8:36 pm

When I open the radar, some names are not readable, they are cut in half. I have to guess what the correct label of the node is.

Image

As you see in the screenshot the labels "MNW" and "MSW" are readable, but the other labels aren't. The same goes for gate names.

However the taxi names can be read.

Re: [Linux] Labels on radar are cutoff, unable to read

Postby mickybadia » Wed Dec 20, 2017 12:17 pm

Hi,
Thanks for the post. This problem has actually been around for a while, but not everywhere. In fact it depends on the chosen (or default) Qt style configured. Though limited if you know about stylesheets, I grant you that the discontinuing of the Qt config tool makes this more of a problem.
I solved it for the radar tags so should be able to correct this one too, but you may still want to reduce your font as huge labels are not necessarily what you want in the end.

Back to this issue,
I reckon I have solved the problem but would like confirmation from any dev tester with such problematic font config.
Upcoming update will include the change.

I have tested the new version. The labels are now readable.

Thank you for the quick test. So I will merge the change to the next stable.

You may mark this topic as solved, as well as the couple of other ones you initiated that have been addressed (if you confirm the problems are cleared). Thank you for all the valuable feedback.
