How can I download the entire flightgear program on linux?? Thanks.

If you want the binary, it really depends on the Linux distribution of your choice, some have it available, for others it's more tricky. If you're after the code, click the 'source' link at the very top of the forum page.

saiarcot895 (spelling from memory, sorry for mistakes) has a PPA for debian based linux... several folks use it on the *buntus and a few other flavors... you can find it on launchpad... use the stable ones... not the bleeding edge of next... that'll keep you in good hands with the PPA... you only need one PPA entry...

if you would rather build your own, get the source like Thorsten pointed out and use the download_and_compile.sh script... you'll likely need a beefy machine and i know a complete build environment but the script will handle a lot of that for you if you can even use it...
