While you are correct in that, there is also more to an iframe that just viewing content.

Pretty much, yes.

If spambots can be a problem and undoubtedly some forum readers would follow those links, consider what possibly could happen if spambots discretely could insert the content of malicious websites (with malicious code) into posts. While it would look like just a (stolen) screenshot, it could potentially do quite some harm. :wink:

While most people are protected in more than one way, some probably are not for one reason or another.

Thanks, I understand now that the <frame> code is sensitive, and that you trust only big money-making players...
