Explanation of Saved Flight Data

Postby auberondreaming » Tue May 12, 2015 8:41 pm

Hello all,

I am interested in using flightgear as a simulation tool to generate realistic flight trajectories. I believe all the information I need is already in the files generated when someone saves a flight, I was wondering if there is a break down of what the protocol for that data is? I am currently looking at the files on the Suggested Prerecorded Flights page for reference. Does a guide or document already exist explaining this protocol and I am just not seeing it? Thanks for the help!

Hi & welcome,

if you are referring to the fgtape format, please see $FG_ROOT/Docs/README.flightrecorder and: Extracting flight data from recorded flights
