Hi All,

First of all, apologies for the delay in replying: - I've had a very busy couple of months, and am still catching up.

Secondly, thanks very much for taking the time to do this translation. I will do my best to get your changes integrated into The Manual for the V3.0.0 release.

I'm quite happy to receive small pieces of translations, and do not worry that it not complete. We can easily create an Italian version of The Manual that uses your translation where it is done, and the English text where it is not. We do this already for the French translation.

Thanks again,

-Stuart

Hi All,

Just to let you know that I've integrated the translation into the Latex source code. This means that we can automatically build it as part of our documentation for future releases. I expect to have this in the V3.0.0 release.

You can see the PDF version here: http://www.nanjika.co.uk/flightgear/getstart-it.pdf.

If you are interested in translating the manual in Latex, please let me know. It would save me a bit of time, and I'd be happy to provide advice and guidance.

Thanks!

-Stuart

Hi all, I am an Italian freelance translator, member of the Proz.com translation network. I would be glad to give my contribution to the Italian translation of Flightgear, since I am keen on flight simulations. Can I translate a chapter of the manual?

Thank you Jacopo, could you please tell me where I can find the complete English version in Word format, so that I can work directly on that? Thank you.

I am sorry, I meant to say a Doc version of the manual.
Since the pdf version cannot be modified, is there a Doc version of the full manual?

There are no Word files, as it's written in Latex. You can find the source at http://gitorious.org/fg/getstart There are plenty of tutorials available on how to use Latex; please ask if you need help.

Cheers,

Unfortunately I can't use Latex and currently I do not have much time to learn it. I hope to help you as I have free time to read some guides about it.

Hasn't it already been started?
