Where canvas lives....  Topic is solved

Canvas is FlightGear's new fully scriptable 2D drawing system that will allow you to easily create new instruments, HUDs and even GUI dialogs and custom GUI widgets, without having to write C++ code and without having to rebuild FlightGear.

Hi I want to know what is the ecosystem of canvas. Does it lives on runtime like a OSG instance, it is a frame?.

Do you think is possible use it to improve MP chat readability?

Cheers

You can even use it to create completely new GUI diaogs and widgets: http://wiki.flightgear.org/Canvas
So yes, the MP chat dialog could be re-done using the canvas system, and it would not even be very difficult.
