they are both in FGAddon, AFAIK... i mirror that repo here and both are shown in the list... the YASIM one(s) specifically state "YASIM" in their titles...

in the launcher, go to the craft tab and search for "dr400"... you might need to turn down or off the filtering so that all craft are shown instead of those greater than or equal to the filtering of craft quality options you've chosen... the filtering options are at the very top of the craft list on the [BROWSE] tab...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Just tried the new DR400. on a short VFR flight in the dark. Certainly has a different feel to the other one. Didn't go backwards.

i'm sure it does have a different feel... especially since it is JSBSIM... the only question is how accurate the FDM numbers are ;)

Could someone please explain why AW is recommended with Live Weather. I only ask because if I am using Live Weather is that not, well, live weather. I note sometimes with LW it's raining, then I activate AW and it's no longer raining. So what is the value of AW if it alters LW.

If you haven't noticed yet, live weather alters live weather.

When I select
Environment -> Weather
and then "OK", the weather changes. Sometimes better...sometimes worse.

Edit: ...and sometimes the sky turns black, like it just did for me at St Maarten. The METAR has "////" in the report.

Edit: TNCM METAR just changed, but the sim had not applied it until I selected "Environment -> Weather" and clicked 'OK". "////" is gone, and so has the black sky.

Sorry don't understand. It's either live weather or it isn't. When I know that it is really raining in EGPE and in the live weather setting it's raining. Then that's live weather. If I click on AW and it stops raining even though in reality it is raining then that is not real weather.

Then I'll go with Thorsten. Don't use AW.

remember that METAR cannot contain all the information for the sim to perfectly recreate what you see outside your window... it is, at best, an approximation based on a small subset of imperfect data... there are assumptions that have to be made at times and these are not always accurate vis a vis the view of reality outside...
