I set weather in settings but it still keeps defaulting to 'realistic weather'. What am I not doing.

Are you starting FG with the launcher? It should start out with a page that has
Summary
Aircraft
Location
Environment
Settings
Add-ons

Fly

Under Environment, select "Real-world weather"
I also have "Advanced weather" selected.

Just checked it and the radio button was off. Very odd. I switched it back on and launched flight and it now seems to have saved this time.

All three have unlimited access granted by my firewall.

you'll note that i did not point to any particular part of the network... it could be something upstream from you ;)

I noticed that.
Still wanted to state that I tried to eliminate as many problems as I could. And a software firewall could have been one of them. ;)

Thorsten wrote in Fri Aug 23, 2019 12:40 pm:There's a general perception on the developers' mailing list that the problem is solved in 2019.X, so unless prompted by some additional input, there won't be any action before the next release, there's currently no work pending.

If that's not the case for you, I suggest you write about the issue to the mailing list and be prepared to supply follow-up diagnostics.

I tried to locate it but when I click on "Mailing Lists, Forums, and IRC" under "Looking for help" on the www.flightgear.org main page, I get an error page.

you might should let curt know about that so it can be fixed...

also, if you look at the top of these forum pages, above the graphic, there's a link there for the Mailing lists ;)
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

If I try to open this link by clicking on it, it assumes it's an email. When I copy paste it gives me a series of search data. Is it supposed to do that.

It correctly assumes it is an email, because it is.

I was just taking a look. The URL you've posted doesn't have @ so will not be identified as an email, which was what I queeried.

Well it can only happen to me. Live weather is working fine, I thought until I flew to Isle of Man . I've been here numerous times but to my surprise the whole airport and part of the town were flooded. I switched off and restarted and returned to airport and it was clear. I took off and immediately it became flooded. So I switched off Live weather and the scenery returned to normal. No problem as yet at other airports. Any ideas, see photo.
