Everything related to weather simulation, visuals should be discussed in the shader subforum.

It won't be highlighted.

If it is in fact showing the FAA id of the airport you are at, or one nearby, you are good to go!

I gotta tell you, using this (especially selecting Advanced Weather) is the best part of the simulator. Stuff gets real in a hurry. Rarely will your flights be the same.

I've been doing some flying and changing weather scenarios but as you say this will make things interesting. Thanks again.

Here is what you may be in for. Here I am losing my pilot's license in Dominica landing at Canefield. Daytime VFR only?
It wasn't like this the day before...
Edit: ...and yes, despite vis < 1/2 mile, I made it in ok.

Not really. It is only scary the first dozen or so times. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE between civilian VFR and military VFR. I have made "VFR" approaches like that.

In Korea, I would have been slapped, called a girl, and forced to buy drinks at the bar if I didn't make that landing.

I currently have 3 versions of FG installed: 2018.2.2, 2018.3.3 and 2019.2.0
All three have unlimited access granted by my firewall.

you'll note that i did not point to any particular part of the network... it could be something upstream from you ;)

Can the Live weather be made the default weather.

Yes, you can select live weather in the launcher. Once you select it there, it becomes the default.

Odd the PUi mp is now showing no Meta data, does that mean the internet link is lost. As the Map is still working I can't see how it can. Or could this be something else. It happened after I landed at EGAA and after I took off again to EGPO. I have just landed there and on route to home Airport EGPE (Inverness) and still no data. Weather settings are still OK.

So is mine. As it happens the Meta data started again. I'm guessing there were no weather stations to link to in the remote Islands.
