OpenRadar crashes FlightGear

Postby D-ECHO » Sat Jan 28, 2017 4:00 pm

Hi!
I'm using 2017.1.0 on a Kubuntu 16.04 computer, 8GB RAM, NVidia GTX260.
Everytime when enabling multiplayer near (in range) of an OpenRadar ATC, flightgear crashes showing this log (log-level=debug):
Code: Select all
$ error: process crashed!
process exited with code: 0, status: QProcess::CrashExit

Using multiplayer when there is no OpenRadar around is no problem, this bug is independent of aircraft, ai traffic or not and used multiplayer server.
As this makes flying under ATC (almost) impossible, I'd be happy if anyone had an idea to fix this.
Call back if you need more infos ;)
Regards
D-ECHO
[EDIT]: Correct version number, flightgear info:

It may related to a bug that was recently found. There should be a workaround included with the latest release of OpenRadar, and a fix for FlightGear should be in Git.

For details see the topic: OpenRadar releases updated (Jan 2017)
Low-level flying — It's all fun and games till someone looses an engine. (Paraphrased from a YouTube video)
Improving the Dassault Mirage F1 (Wiki, Forum, GitLab. Work in slow progress)

I suppose you are talking about this.
As far as I understand, it is now fixed, and the workaround I also had to include in the debug process is in fact now useless.
So an up- (or down-)grade of your FG client (and not so much of OR) should be the solution.

Yep this seems to be the bug, thank you!
[EDIT]I just installed a build from launchpad (uploaded 5 hours ago), but the bug still persists.

Well, just last night a new ticket was placed about a related problem, so perhaps this was not all fully fixed and should still be monitored.
