2016.2 nightly freezing ?

Postby Harald » Sat May 07, 2016 9:34 am

Is anyone able to run the 'last' nightly on windoze ?

It's freezing here with no other thing to do than rebooting.

It's better not in full screen mode...

There was a SQL popup on the screen hidden behind the FG windows.

Sqlite error:attempt to write a readonly database (8) while running:
INSERT OR REPLACE INTO stat_cache (path, stamp) VALUES (?,?)
aborting cache transaction!
NavCache: aborting transaction
aborting cache transaction!
NavCache: aborting transaction

I will investigate.

It's crashing very fast now that I deleted the navdata_2016_2.cache file.

There was a few month fgfs.pid file in my home directory.
FG goes into read only mode, he does not build the cache, and probably crash trying to read it.

Problem solved by deleting the old fgfs.pid.

You should probably wait a few days. I'm optimistically hoping most of this will get cleaned up by the end of the weekend. Lots of discussion and work going on behind the scenes

Remember that the nightly builds are for the cutting edge development repositories. These are unstable, experience incompatible changes, will sometimes just not work (by design), and are in a constant state of flux. But so is life on the cutting edge ;)
