Well here is an idea for anyone that wants to maybe help test without wanting to do bit dissecting or running debug versions and backtraces.
Dynamic dataFlightGear_fgdata/add-ons/TerraSync/
FlightGear_fgdata/fgmembers_fgdata/
FlightGear Nightlies - a dated folder for each version you try.
FlightGear_nightly/{date}/
Install each nightly (the smaller 37mb exe, not the
full version) from here
http://download.flightgear.org/builds/nightly/ into it's own dated folder, IE 20160104 for today's folder date
Then just tell flightgear nightlies where it's fgdata resides.
You get all the good new developments and bugs.
You have any older copies in case a version is completely trashed, as long as you don't delete them.
Keeping them dated helps with knowing when and where the bug was introduced. More people more refined timeline.
Benefits you and the developers in some form or fashion.
This is not a complete how to, it is just an idea based on how I manage testing development branch of FG
