Are you a REAL pilot?

Postby D-ECHO » Sat May 09, 2015 4:25 pm

This doesn't mean whether you are a pilot in real life! It means whether you have the skills to be a really good pilot!
The first challenge: Land at one of the airports in Papua Neuguinea, which are some of the most dangerous airports in the world!
...more coming...
Every aircraft that...
...has MORE than 4 seats (including pilot)
...isn't a VTOL aircraft/helicopter
How to submit:
Submit a video, one/many screenshots and/or the route flown on

You sure they're in Papua Neuguinea ?
I can't seem to find airports of that code in Papua Neuguinea, most seem to be in Indonesia.

"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

The island of New Guinea is shared by two countries, and has lots and lots of airstrips, more on the west side of the island (Irian Jaya AKA West Irian) than on the east (Papua New Guinea).

It also has some high mountains, and very few navaids. It's twotter country.

I recently flied in Papua and found several airstrips with almost impossible approaches. Most of the airstrips there are not included in skyvector database or fg mpservers.
I don't have video or screen for this flight, only traker link, but I'll have for the next ones. The airstrip I visited is Yigi Airstrip, ICAO code WT74 in fg. ... ht/368515/
