Boeing 787-8 EFB Game Challenge!

Postby omega95 » Wed Mar 07, 2012 10:32 am

Well, I do realize that a LOT of people get bored during long inter-continental flights... Therefore, the Boeing 787-8's EFB (which is meant as an interface to run the Operating Airline's and/or Third Party Softwares) comes with a gaming hub... Basically, there's a game (some more coming up soon) hidden in the EFB (Electronic Flight Bag). You don't need to run any code in the nasal console to get it, it's just a secret menu button.

Once you get there (I'm not gunna give away the secret menu, and if you get there, please don't give it away  ), you have to play the game and beat me score (28) :D

The ball in the center moves around randomly inside it's box and it also changes color often. IF you click on the white ball, you get 1 point, green ball gives you 5 and red makes takes away 5 points!

The bar on the right side is the timer. You have to click on a ball to reset the timer. If you fail to click on a ball before the timer runs out (turns all red), you get your score in the GAME OVER page.

Here're mine... just before I ran out of time.

CHALLENGE : Find the game, beat my score and post a screen-shot of the GAME OVER page.

Have fun! :D

EDIT : I'll push it to git in 15 minutes (March 7th, 2012 | 0945 UTC)

Nice. Next step is to be able to use FG within the EFB screen. A FlightGear in a FlightGear (just kidding, of course).

lol, you must be seriously bored ... as if the 787 project wasn't already challenging enough. ;-)

I mean, let's face it, you are coming up with crazy new features almost every day, i.e. at a crazy pace, even though you are currently having final exams, right?

If you are looking for a challenge, how about learning Japanese for a change?

Lol, I'm already overwhelmed by studying for Chem (next exam) and do something on FG to take a break. 8) But then when I get on, I just can't stop.

 :P (sorry, but I'm a native Japanese speaker~)

-well there's one more reason to look forward to the 788 and see if AVA can use it! :D
Look for "B-BIRD" "N127KY" or "AVA0004" -that's me.

Despite having over 1700 posts here, I am not even close to being the most skilled guy here... I'm just words and bad drawing, not experience. :P

Actually, I find Japanese fairly simple. It's extremely logical and clearly structured with a very straight grammar without many form changes. Had it 3 years in school...
If you want a challenge, try to learn Finnish (I live in Finland about 5 years now and get along just fairly well in the supermarket) or if you want something really exclusive, try Elvish (Thorsten can comment on this)...

FIXED! CHALLENGE IS BACK UP!

Have fun trying to find the game and beating my score of 28... Btw, for some reason the gameover.wav doesn't seem to want to go up on git, so I did a hard RESET and re-commited everything else again... Up there now.

Why not add Pac Man or make a FG TV :P
Maybe you should add working Onboard screens on your planes that have an Interior.
Might make my own interior for the 787 because I like planes with interiors :P

Good idea, how about using canvas to make video games in the interior and anl flight map and music? And animated seats and headphone sockets that you click and music plays, and even a simulated Channel 9 using chatter?
