STUNT Challenge (finished): Belly Landings

Postby Oscar » Fri Jun 17, 2011 3:18 pm

Last week challenge's winner: Someguy, for his great heli skills!

New Challenge:
Belly Landing!

Any landing with at least one wheel missing is counted as a valid submission

And sorry but I have to do this for YouTube licensing: by submitting videos or images, you allow me to use a few seconds of it in a future Stunt Friday video.

You can use YAsim aircraft, too... ...though then, you're restricted to screenshots and videos right before the landing...
Look for "B-BIRD" "N127KY" or "AVA0004" -that's me.

Despite having over 1700 posts here, I am not even close to being the most skilled guy here... I'm just words and bad drawing, not experience. :P

Or add some hidden gears in the FDM right on the belly... hold on, I've said too much.

The engine is the heart of an aeroplane, but the pilot is its soul.

Sigh... Seems I'm having trouble finding the time to plan something out. And even if I do manage a good one, and get it recorded, it's gonna take 3 hours just for me to upload it to YouTube. Maybe I'll just wait until I'm back in university, where I can upload the same video in just 10 seconds. Man, I wish I could afford decent Internet like that.

EDIT: Alright. I now have two videos to upload now. One is for something else, but I made sure to get one for the stunt challenge, since I got bored. I am very happy with how my belly landing turned out. I can't remember the last time I've done anything like that, but I managed very well considering I managed to not trigger crash detection on my first try. This time, I'll be sure to start the upload some time tonight right before I go to bed. You guys gotta see this one. You'll be in for a wild ride 8)

And just another note. I'm only going to upload the raw footage. No funny stuff, guaranteed!

EDIT2: Had an error with the upload. I'll try again tonight.

EDIT3: GOT IT!!!
