<actuator> and gear-pos-norm

Code: Select all
<actuator name="rubbish/gear-pos-norm">
         <input>gear/gear-cmd-norm</input>
         <rate_limit>fcs/gear-pos-rate</rate_limit>
         <output>gear/gear-pos-norm</output>
      </actuator>

I would expect this to modify gear-pos-norm, however, I get this result when using <actuators>:

Am I missing anything obvious?

A kinematic works fine, but an actuator allows us to adjust the rate runtime.

gear-cmd-norm is written to by:

Code: Select all
<switch name="Gear Command">
         <output>gear/gear-cmd-norm</output>
         <default value="0"/>
         <test logic="OR" value="0">
            /controls/gear/lever-pos eq 0
         </test>
         <test logic="OR" value="1">
            /controls/gear/lever-pos eq 1
         </test>
      </switch>

Solution:

Do not write to gear-cmd-norm, I made a new property gear-command and used that.

Not a programmer; but notification about the gear stays down on the F14 aircraft. It has been this way for months. This happen after the last aircraft update. Any suggestions?
