Autopush: Automated pushback

Modeling aircraft systems, like electrical stuff, hydraulics, pneumatics? Feel free to ask support.

Would you like Autopush to be a shared module instead of per-aircraft thing?

1) User: leave as it is. No additional actions for user when installing. Have to wait for aircraft author to update Autopush. Number of Autopush of the disk equals the number of aircraft with it installed.

2) User: put it in Aircraft/Autopush. Have to download/install/update separately. Latest bugfixes available immediately. All installed aircraft use the same copy of Autopush.

3) User: make it an addon. Same as 2), but also have to put --addon argument in the launcher/command line. On the other hand it does not clutter up the Aircraft folder.

4) Developer: leave it as it is. Have to check upstream Autopush for updates.

5) Developer: put it in Aircraft/Autopush. Only have to touch Autopush-related code when its interface changes.

6) Developer: make it an addon. Same as 5), but more organised, and when it (hopefully) gets in FGDATA the transitioning from addon will be easier.

Hi merspieler,

What happens when you open the 777 > pushback menu-item?

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I get the message from above...
i get it as well for other menu items like autostart or ground services

btw i get as well a bunch of other nasal errors. i'm currently running on 2018.2 ... so it might be a general problem... i'll reinstall

EDIT: reinstalled and still same behaviour

Ok, it definitly has something to do with the 777 menu item. I 'll dig into it, but can't reproduce it here. You are on linux, correct? I'm on windows, so maybe it has something to do with OS. Legoboyvdlp, which OS are you using?

i'm running debian stretch, FG build with the d&c script

if it's OS related, it's most likely due to case sensitivity... on linux foo != Foo ... I've see similar issues before (with not shown textures tho)

Hmm I 've checked everything I have changed for the autopush, but can't find any errors. Can you give me a log so I can investigate what's going on? Anyone else having issues?

Log is here https://privatebin.net/?c54eff55174a731 ... laZ7lnC+g=
(Just start fg without touching anything in the plane)

IIRC it has thrown some errors already before autopush

Correct, windows.

I'm also using FGPRC's branch (https://gitlab.com/sidi762/FG777CDUimprovementProject) - however, that was synced to FGADDON three days ago.

I need assistance in this, as I have no clue as to where the autopushback feature breaks the whole 777 menu in Linux, other than the numerous 'access denied' errors in your log, which might be causing this. If I 'm correct the previous versions of the 777 didn't break your installation so it has to be something related to the autopush functionality? I 'm thinking of anything that attempts to write in a read-only directory, but cannot find any code that attempts this. The only difference between the old menu-code and the new one is that the old pushback is the default dialog, loaded via an xml-command from the fgdata/gui directory and the new code uses a nasal script to call the dialog from 777/systems. I 'll investigate further, but appreciate the help from anyone who is more experienced than me in read/write permission errors.

We are proud to announce, that v1.0 of autopush is now officially released.

Thank you very much for your support during pre-v1.0 development.

Plase update the aircraft you maintain to version v1.0 since it contains some bug fixes compared to v1.0-rc2.
