Controlling magnetos, master-bat, master-alt on c150

Hello,

I'm new at FG and still in the setup phase.
I recently installed the Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=15038&p=334268#p334268

Working now perfectly with c172p.
BUT
Only partially working with c150.

The switch panel is driving following properties:
/controls/switches/
magnetos
master-alt
master-avionics
master-bat
starter
... and many others

then on the c172, something-somewhere is also setting
/controls/engines/engine/
magnetos
starter

and the magic happens!

on the c150, things are a bit different, everything is located below /controls/engines/engine/ :
magnetos
starter
c150-magnetos
master-alt
master-bat

then nothing happens!

my 2 questions:
1. Why is the c150 using different property tree for the same goal? (I understood c172p is more or less the default reference)
2. What can I do to get the c150 properties driven by the switch panel? (I guess writing a xml and/or nasal script...)

Any help highly appreciated to get me started.
