Standar Headtrcking support.

FG can support headtracking if you do it yourself based on this :-

My question is this - Why not just include those files with FG as standard and include a tick box on the launcher to enable it ?

To me this is a logical thing to do and it would give FG an "out of the box " solution to those who want head tracking.

Here's the place for filing feature requests (ideally in conjunction with patches): https://sourceforge.net/p/flightgear/codetickets/

On Stuart's behalf, and because I agree it's an excellent idea, I have posted it as a feature request on SourceForge - hopefully it's done correctly? if not please advise so I can get it right next time.

Also attached to the ticket is the file linked to in Stuarts original post which is now unavailable incase anybody wants to get it working on their own FG Install in the mean time.
All the best,
Alex

Regarding James'es idea about using addons for something like this, this is indeed something that Florent once mentioned, i.e. allowing adons to register their own custom addon specific CLI arguments (options), but also adding new ones as needed (given that, io channels cannot be dynamically instantiated at runtime currently)
