Maybe he wants to help too (as others reading this post or in the devel list). I think we can do a demo of these possible features just limited to 2x2 degrees of the Barcelona area (from the LEBL scenery pack at SF).

@wlbragg

I download the files: ohio.zip and KansasScenery.zip, I unzip, but is not clear, for me, where put the folders/files in .../fgdata.

Thank :)

These days I'm trying to do the same thing for the area of Milan-Bergamo-Brescia-Verona (Po Valley), I think the process of writing a note to be entered in the wiki in order to clarify how. If I can with the Po Valley, I think you could do the same for Barcelona. However, the process for Windows is slightly different than for Linux, I have so LInux can only describe that process.
It would be nice to make the automatic process, but Python has many dependencies that require you to make an installer rather complex.

don't put them in fgdata... put them in your own special directory and add that directory path to your --fg-scenery setting... make sure to enter this path before others so that it is found and used first...

eg:
path was --fg-scenery=/home/myuser/myflightgear/Scenery
path now --fg-scenery=/home/myuser/myflightgear/mySpecialScenery;/home/myuser/myflightgear/Scenery
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

@abassign, wkitty42 is correct about where to put the scenery. I think I also included the osm2city buildings, they also need a path to them and should be the first in the path list. If you need clarification I can answer later tonight. I am on borrowed time right now.

Actually I find it hard to understand how to place the osm2city folders, this is the current structure:

and

You can enter the pattern to insert correctly the folders for the correct operation of osm2city objects

Thank :)

Sorry, I forgot about this one. Here is how I have it.

So I think in your setup it would be

home/abassign/fgfs-custonscenery/KansasScenery/Kansas/osm2city/Butler
home/abassign/fgfs-custonscenery/KansasScenery/Kansas/osm2city/Douglas
etc.
