If there isn't anything to be found at all, but the flight recorder system is still working correctly otherwise, it's likely including/using some kind of default configuration file from somewhere - without having looked at anything in detail, I would raise the log level and then search the resulting fgfs.log file for anything containing the flight recorder path - which should get you going hopefully.

It's been a while, and maybe I'm missing something, but I'm almost 100% certain I've created the gif on the wingflexer wiki page from a replay. And obviously, that shows wingflex...

Yes, but we need the <flight-recorder> because there is the option to replay wingflex. I already find the wingflexer-params.xml, however nothing there about replay

The instant replay "flight recorder" needs to be customized to show the effects of wingflex. In essence the properties needed for the animations have to be added.

See the wiki article Instant Replay (perm) and the readme at "$FG_ROOT/Docs/README.flightrecorder" or in your FlightGear installation.

i suspect that they need to create that node in the tree... i tried subtly to point to it on a craft where it definitely works... copying that format could very well result in joy ;)

"Why not?" said Gurder.

So... I had read those docs, however adding something about replay disables it :/

like i wrote before, you should study the c172p's code for this and see what they are doing... if you cannot follow their code, then ask them... onox (here in the forums) would likely be the better one for these answers with regard to how it was done in the c172p... IIRC, he's the one that got it started and made it work properly in that craft...

I think onox unfortunately has retired from the forums, but another one to ask would probably be radii who developed the most recent wingflexer.

I am not sure it helps, but for additional clues see also the wiki articles Wingflexer (perm) and Howto:Implement wing flex (perm).

Edit: Grammar fix.
