Multiple ATIS formats

Postby legoboyvdlp » Tue Dec 15, 2015 1:17 am

Hello!
I have a question regarding multiple ATIS formats, such as a Europe one and a US/CAN one, as well as a default.

I have a recofding here of a Schipol ATIS, and it is quite different from the default FlightGear ATIS.

If someone had the time and skills to allow multiple ATIS formats, depending on location, I'd gladly contribute files with generalized formats.

Also, have you considered adding some NOTAMS, such as runway closures, from the official FAA source?
I am not to certain hoe possible and practical this would be.
Cheers!

They're already allowed. Take a look at the contents of the atis directory inside FGdata/ATC

Try this one (modelled on what I've been hearing from EKCH for 30 years):

Code: Select all

I'm not sure FG gets the (often very different) Transition Levels right.

The recording is public domain.

I wonder if it's possible to include TRENDs (TEMPO, BECMG, PROB)...?
