Hi scarymovie! Yes, the dropbox download link on page three of this topic will work on the latest version of FlightGear. I tested it out yesterday, and there seemed to be no bugs.

Why hasn't this been looked into by the developers of FlightGear and added as a core feature of the program? I think that it would add another level of immersion, and make for a much more realistic simulation. I think that the developers should focus on adding these kind of features to the simulator.

Hi FighterAce, Thank you so much for the response.

I tried it but FG crashed. I also noticed that preferences.xml is replaced by default.xml. How does that work?

Sorry, but I am not sure. Maybe you installed it incorrectly or something. What operating system do you use?

I am on a Mac, so I don't have much knowledge as to how FlightGear is compiled on Windows, but this video should help you:

Because there's three mutually exclusive implementations of camera control by various people out of which none ever grew into the stability to even make a merge request.

If you're interested in it, work on it. There's no objection against this, but there's also no code that can be used in the core without significant work.

Oh, well that's a bummer. I might try to improve on it, but I still think that it should be added.

It works. I guess I did not do it correctly. How can I increase the intensity of the "shaking effect" in the script?

Under "Cockpit View Options" enable dynamic cockpit view if it isn't already enabled, and then tune the sliders to your satisfaction. To increase turbulence, which will increase cockpit shaking, set the turbuence intensity in the launcher. Visit this wiki page to learn more: http://wiki.flightgear.org/Turbulence

Thank you FighterAce for your quick reply. I meant how can I increase the values in the script.

Oh, I see. Maybe you could accomplish that if you edited the configuration file that you installed. Let me know if you need any additional help.

The effect actually works pretty well but just not on the DHC 6. I ain't sure why.
