As you might be aware, parking positions are defined where the nose wheel of the aircraft is to accomodate different aircraft lengths and to make sure every aircraft is positioned correctly relative to for instance movable jetways. Aircraft are however placed into the scenery with their CoG. Strangely enough a feature to get this straightened out is available for on runway positioning, but as far as I could find not for parking positions.
<airport>
<runways>
<start-offset-m>50</start-offset-m>
</runways>
</airport>
So to stop your aircraft from spawning in a building and 'crash' immediately, maybe we could do something like:
<airport>
<runways>
<start-offset-m>50</start-offset-m>
</runways>
<parkpos>
<start-offset-m>-50</start-offset-m>
</parkpos>
</airport>
in the xxx-set.xml and change the fg_init.cxx to accomodate?
Thanks,
Eric
