Friends list in Flightgear!

Postby DutchPilotMitchell » Sun Apr 03, 2011 7:29 pm

Hey guys, wouldn't it be great if we had a list in flightgear wich tells us if any on our friends are on or offline, where they are flying, and what and you can send messages to them. I think it would be a great addon

Oh dear, please not Facebook, I am on there but I do hate it so.

Great idea though, however implemented!

You can do this in Multiplayer by using the Pilot Filter. That's the little icon that looks like a funnel in the top-right corner of the FGMap "Pilots" dialog window. You click on that and put your friend's callsign in the "have in callsign" field and hit Enter. If your friend is online, they'll appear in the list of pilots. Btw, you can do more than one callsign by separating each callsign with the "|" symbol (e.g. "me|you|them|"). Of course, if they are online you can click on their callsign and they'll be centered in the MPMap window.

Hope that helps...
