Hi everyone,
As usual, i'm back after months (once more). Life is not easy sometimes. Is there anyone interested in a LAN Multiplayer? FGMS is gorgeous for online flights but (due to the fact, that i infected few colleagues) an easy LAN server (e.g. package forwarder) would be useful. I'll start writing it quiet soon and since i managed to figure out XDR at last, i'm more confident handling the UDP packages.
My actual goal is based on the idea like Skype (somehow) works. Behind local networks it doesn't relays connections (especially file transmissions, very fast). So why to bother FGMS servers if i'm flying with my friend next room? Or more popular game (Counter Strike) allows creating local (or WAN) servers, in a similar manner.
Is there any interest on this? If so, any ideas to include to design.
Best regards,
Greetings from Greece.
