Let us talk as a voice in the ATC; no keyboard.

I thinking a new feature in the FlightGear... Let the Microfon recognize the voice at the ATC in the computer. So we do not need to use the keyboard. Is it possible ?

It's called fgcom and we already have it. It's just like a radio. You press the space bar and talk, and other people hear you!

Who are the other people ? Through the internet ? I want the Control-tower AI ATC will hear me, no other people.

The only problem with fgcom is that no one seems to use it.

It's a great idea and works reasonably well. But it is distinct from chat, and everyone just uses the chat.

It would be nice if fgcom could translate to text (so it would be possible in principle to use either method interchangeably), but that truly is a new feature.

Huh, how do you figure that? I see (or rather hear) it used all the time.

Anyway what was being asked about in original post was voice recognition software to talk to AI, not people. And I don't think that is a feature we're likely to see any time soon.
