WOW that works great with Comet for FlightGear. I used "/sim/current-view/goal-heading-offset-deg" in the preferences, flight controls, rudder command line.

The only problem is it moves the view by just the smallest amount. Even though I bumped up the sensitivity in the Comet preferences. Is there a way to make this setup more sensitive in FG?

I tried to give it a go, but according to the install file, running the command "headtrack" gives the following error

Running the ./runme.sh starts the head tracking window and the white box is moving, but in FG th view is not moving,in the head tracking configuration settings enabled or not.
