Port Noblessner has been constructed and will be added to my next release.

Image

The harbor is located not far from the city centre, next to Lennusadam and Miinisadam ports. The former is somewhat modelled, the latter will hopefully be some day.

The complex, including a port and a shipyard, dates back to 1913. It was founded by Emanuel Nobel (a relative of Alfred Nobel) and Gustav Lessner. The shipyard was mostly servicing military needs. Today there is still a smaller shipyard functioning, which belongs to BLRT Group, but many former industrial objects were either repurposed or abandoned.

Image
Departing from Lennusadam. It is quite crowded there in real life, especially during the summer season, with smaller ships and boats. On about the same place where the ship is on the screenshot there stands a historic icebreaker - steamer Suur Tõll built in 1914. The hangars have been reconstructed heavily and now house the Estonian Naval Museum, including the submarine Lembit built in 1932. A highly recommended place to visit if you happen to be in Tallinn some day. But in FG I decided to have some place to myself here.

Image
BLRT Tallinn Shipyard. Still functioning. There are also ship slips which look quite impressive but unfortunately tricky to model. Maybe later I will.

Image
Port Noblessner Marina. The terrain here is a bit faulty (something wrong with elevations), so I had to raise some buildings above the ground (and even with this they are a bit sunk).

Image
Now we can leave our car and take a little walk. The building used to be a foundry. Now it is used as a concert hall.

Image
Another former industrial facility acting now as a summer cafe.

Image
Yachts.

Image
I don't know what to do with this old trawler (from FlightGear Models stock). Environmentally it just fits where it is standing (in front of the shipyard), but it blocks the view to the sea from the harbor and vice versa. It can also be placed at the pier on the other side of the marina - in real life there are usually written-off ships moored. But there it might ruin the feeling of a marina. What do you think?

Some real-life photos of the place:

Welcome to the Medieval era
Image

Kuressaare Bishop's castle, located in Kuressaare town, Saaremaa island. Dates back to the 14th century (though most of the current's castle is a result of later reconstructions and modernisations). Originally build by the Teutonic Order, was used as a fortress until about 18th-19th centuries when it (and the Saaremaa island) lost its strategic value. Now housing the Saaremaa museum.

Actually it is still Work-In-Progress, but I will upload what I have done so far since the last release.

Port Noblessner in Tallinn, a bit of Naissaar island (just the harbour), Kuressaare castle and a couple of buildings in Kuressaare, Saaremaa.
Kuressaare airport is in the release (a little earlier in the thread or the starting post).

Enjoy!

A new release (why so early? Only a year has passed since the previous one!)
***THE LINK IS HERE***
https://www.online.ee/sharefile.php?shareid=060e0898-0557-41ca-8f76-b1482cca97b4
Just open the link and click the button which says "Laadi kõik alla" (which in Estonian stands for "Download all", all being the only zip-archive with the release).
Installation instructions inside. Should you need more help, or face any problems, don't hesitate to ask right in this topic.

The new area is the Ülemiste City business district.
Modeled only partially, the most prominent (and not too complex) objects have been included. Possibly WIP (as in real life, by the way, this is actually a new development).
Image

The district is mostly located in a former industrial area. Situated between the Tallinn Airport and the Ülemiste freight station, what is now called "Ülemiste City" used to be a large factory called "Dvigatel". Founded in 1899, it used to build all kinds of machinery, from railway equipment and rolling stock, to nuclear and space production.
Image

Since 1990's the factory has been in a decay, up till in the recent years the redevelopment of the area commenced. Currently, it is growing into a business and small industries district, situated near the airport and the railroad.
Image

Of the former factory buildings, many have been demolished to make room for new developments.
Image

Some have been repurposed.
Image

Many still remain, either housing some smaller industries or simply falling apart.
Image

Highrises near the airport. Adding fun to your life since SimCity 2000.
Image

The district is still in active development in the real life, many object are even not on Google Street View yet. Future plans for the area include a tram line to the airport passing through the district, and a Rail Baltic terminal, which would be located at the current Ülemiste station. Right now it is a nice opportunity to see the contrast of the shining new skyscrapers and futuristic IT-offices just next to derelict factory halls and industrial ruins.

Image

Also included the Noblessner Harbour, Kuressaare town and Naissaar harbour, which I introduced earlier.

Image

Have fun and less rainy days (well, unless you like them)!

Another tourist trap to be added to the next release.
Trap - because if you are not careful enough around this attraction, it will be you who is going to crash.
So exercise caution...
Image

This balloon has been produced by Lindstrand Technologies Ltd. It operates on the territory of the Old Harbour (Passenger port of Tallinn), near the cruise quays.
Image

The balloon takes up to 30 passengers and rises up to 150m (which makes ca. 120m for passenger gondola). If you are doing low-level flying in the area, watch out!
Image

Hopefully coming soon!
Image

And just a nice view of the Ülemiste City business district and the Ülemiste railway station.

A bit of Tallinn.

Kalaranna fort (also known as Patarei prison) has been constructed in early 19th century as an artillery fortress for coastal defense. After the Crimean war, it lost its significance as a fortress, and housed troop barracks instead. Between 1919 and 2002 it served as a prison. Having been used for exhibitions and as a prison museum since then, it has been recently closed to public due to safety concerns. It's now in a semi-derilict state, but having been sold to a private investor this year, it hopefully gets necessary funding to serve as a tourist attraction.

In the left is a prop for a certain recent movie. eivom taht ,seY.
