KSJC should be on the list. I added a terminal model to it a while back...

And it's always had that tower model for a long time.

By the way, KNUQ is Moffett Field, not Moffatt Field.

Updated the list. If you don't see an airport which should be on there, make sure it is in the scenery models database, and then please post a link so I can confirm it easily.

Modeled a terminal at KRNO: http://scenemodels.flightgear.org/maps/?zoom=13&lat=39.507064234956&lon=-119.774313122034

I highly recommend making this thread a sticky, moderators. ;)

Anyone know when the next scenery release will be? I've been gone since spring, but as far as I can tell the airport mods I did all the way back to last November have yet to be implemented into the scenery. Really kind of kills any enthusiasm to update the airports if they never get implemented.

It's not in the near future, unfortunately. The only upside is the time delay allows me to add a larger portion of higher-quality land cover to the server :)

Well if you get up to Mid-Vermont let me know John. I do wish that the airport integration to the scenery could be done without a scenery release, as thousands of airports could be updated without a scenery change.

A while back, I modeled Travis AFB (KSUU) using all shared objects. :)

Whoo, airports with just shared models is a possible can o' worms from a data collection standpoint. Since all of the models made specifically for an airport are usually tagged as "Kansas City Airport Terminal" or "EGKK Tower" it makes it easy to figure out they're in the database, and also if the model is in the database but not placed properly. All I do is scroll through the newly submitted buildings every few weeks and if there are new airports I add 'em, there's no way to tell if someone submitted a "generic" airport into the database.

I'll add KSUU as soon as I can verify the models are in the database properly. I think placing and submitting shared models does "improve" an airport for purposes of this list, especially because some of the airports on the list only have a building or two placed and an airport with shared buildings may look better. But damn if it doesn't add to my workload of proper verification :)

I submitted this scenery update to terrasync well over a month ago, and it was quickly added in.

I added over 185 models to to Travis AFB. This was anything but a low quality job. I used shared models that were made for Air Force Bases, many of them can be seen at Nellis AFB. I did stay at Travis AFB for a few months back in the 70's to stand guard at a Nike Hercules Launch Site (T-86), when I was a sentry dog handler in the army. So I do remember what it looks like from a ground view to an extent.

Oh, not implying you did a bad job at all. Just saying it's not intuitive to figure out which airports consist of purely shared models. I just have to look on the map, which doesn't work on this computer, and even if it did I just checked FlightGear briefly while checking the recipe to make a pie, which just got out of the oven. So no worries.

ENSD - Sandane (Norway)

now has buildings individually created for this airport (http://flightgear.org/forums/viewtopic. ... 744#p98684).

ENAL - Ålesund airport, Vigra

will soon follow, but isn't in the database yet (http://flightgear.org/forums/viewtopic. ... =15#p98804).

Cheers
