ICAO.twr.xml file has no effect

Postby TheEagle » Sun Aug 07, 2022 10:28 pm

Hello, i've built my own version of an airport with Terragear and now the tower view is positioned high above the terrain. I have tried putting Airports/I/C/A/ICAO.twr.xml into my custom scenery folder with the following contents:
Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<PropertyList>
   <tower>
      <twr>
         <lon>145.85438634</lon>
         <lat>-6.74976573</lat>
         <elev-m>1309.7</elev-m>
      </twr>
   </tower>
</PropertyList>

However, it didn't do anything. What did i do wrong ? Thanks in advance ! :)

What were you expecting ? When we were looking at those VOR's in Montreal, adjustments did not affect the 'scenery' but changed things on the F10 map ( and only after forcing a cache rebuild by whacking the navdata cache ) .

In fact, the ICAO.twr.xml files do what i told them to do - but I thought you put the AMSL in the <elev-m> tag, not the AGL ! :) So, this is solved.

It moves the tower view to 1600 meters above the ground, instead of 1600 meters above sea level !
