MUCU error in runways

Postby rommel » Mon May 17, 2021 1:11 am

Hello;

In MUCU (Santiago de Cuba) there is a mistake in runways.
I check with few Chart URL [(https://skyvector.com/airport/MUCU/Antonio-Maceo-International-Airport) and (https://aismet.avianet.cu/assets/data/pdf/AIP/MUCUAD_2.pdf)] and are diferent to what in FlightGear Scenary and in http://mpmap02.flightgear.org/ are.

Runways 18 and 36 in FlightGear are 01 - 19
Runways 09 and 27 in FlightGear are 10 - 28

this is understandable and will become more common as the magnetic poles of the earth continue to move and FG doesn't update its scenery data... the reason the runway numbers change is because the airport adjusts them to the new bearing as the poles move... when FG does update its data and rebuilds the world scenery, these will be fixed... until it happens again and FG falls behind...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

yeah, just mentally make the numeric change and land on the proper old runway... that should work just fine...
