The checksum errors... on which path where they? normal terrasync or osm2city specific.
The first is probably due to ongoing issues with terrasync.

Yes, the .txz files remain. He didn't mention any directories tho... so I've assumed, that's the issue.

Yes this is correct. The files are consistently not being unpacked for some reason. If I do that manually, the buildings show up.
Neve mind the checksum error. It seemed not to be related to this.

Could you please provide us witht the fgfs.log of a run where data got downloaded but not unpacked.

Wow this project is amazing. I just have a few questions. Is this the entire world in osm2 scenery? Where can I download the scenery tiles? Does it override traditional v2 scenery? On the status page (https://merspieler.alwaysdata.net/osm2city/progress.php), what does the red tiles, "flagged for rebuild" mean? Finally, can I get some screenshots of some of the developed cities and areas? Thank you so much, and keep up the good work! :)

It covers the whole world, where osm data is available.
You need a next build.... then just enable the new features in the Rendering dialog and enable terrasync

No, it doesn't override anything. It's build on top of the existing ws2 scenery.

For screenshots... get the scenery and make some your self ;-)

With a nightly build, it will be downloaded automatically.....

I presume this log file was of little use, but in the meantime an update of the programs has revealed new features (osmtrees!!) and low and behold the building are unpacked now!

It looks marvelous, especially when adding orthophotography. Thank you so much Merspieler and co. for making this possible!!

For anyone wanting the full experience with satelite images, look for the topic about orthophotography elsewhere on this forum.

Aha I already thought the setting did not do a hole lot at this time ;-) but sure nice that in future steps the trees will correspond to landscape!
