I can't connect to the shapefile server!

Hello, I know I posted another topic yet, but the subject says nothing. So I post this topic. I can't connect to the mapserer.flightgear.org and I want to download some shapefiles to make scenery.

That server is down for years now. You'll need to get them from elsewhere. I'll post some links when I get home tonight.

You can still get vmap0 from another URL and for Europe you can get CORINE.

For elevation, I use http://www.viewfinderpanoramas.org/Cove ... s_org3.htm

I get OSM line data from http://download.geofabrik.de/ (shp.zip)

For elevation I use http://openstreetmapdata.com/data/land-polygons '(Large polygons are split, use for larger scales)'

And finally, VMAP from http://mapserver.mgras.net/shpdl/ (not needed for europe)

It loaded for me earlier today but is back down now.

If I'm on the website it says that's an archive website. You can't download anything. But there's a big link that brings me to:

And there's I can read:
hosted on land.copernicus.eu - Corine land cover 2006 vector
and a link that brings me to:

If there is no shape files available on that page you could download the raster and convert to shape files using a program such as QGIS. Looked like there was also database format that QGIS should be capable of reading directly.

I downloaded the shapefiles from that link I sent:

Just scroll down to where it says '111 - Continuous urban fabric
clc06_c111.zip
Download file'

And hit download file. It worked for me when I last tried it in January...
