What Do People Do When Adding Objects

and find that they conflict with an object which exists in the main scenery?

I've added a Wind Turbine and it's now in the middle of a building (which is not an added object, but part of the base scenery - at least it does not exist as an object here https://scenemodels.flightgear.org/map/)

It does look fairly stupid and obviously I can move it - just wonder whats the 'normal' solution?

Possibly the building is there as a placeholder for the turbine you added. Often the used for obstacles marked in airial charts, until there will be a model of the original. If so you can ask for deletion of the building in the object-database.
If it is not in the db then it might be an automaticly generated building if you have ramdom objects selected.

Thanks - I was not aware the buildings were randomly generated - I'll check to see if it's still there!
