scenery objects not updating

Postby pommesschranke » Sun Jul 15, 2018 2:48 pm

FG 2018.2.1

I tried the build-in automatic download: unable to start downloading and I tried terramaster but I cannot see the new Terminal1 at EDDK or the fences, busses, people at LGRP

remove the objects tile subfolder from your terrasync directory and then download again using terramaster

I use Terramaster, I don't know what version you are using, But see the images I took from the airport and what "I see" I have "buildings, objects, and terrain" checked (boxes in the launcher) and have never had any problems with Terramaster. I use this version https://github.com/Portree-Kid/terramaster Image Image Image hope this helps?

yes. it helps.
I see the same old/generic buildings and not the building that was uploaded on July 12th:

https://scenemodels.flightgear.org/app. ... ew&id=7426

EDDK-Terminal1.xml is on the objects map but not in the stg file:
http://flightgear.sourceforge.net/scene ... 072824.stg

Either updates take much longer than they did last year or there is a bug in the workflow.

I renamed the complete .fgfs folder. did not help.
It seems like the object/model did get accepted but not "published". It is not here:

Have you updated your buildings objects etc? via the "max tile age" ( 0 days) and then clicking "sync old tiles" button? FYI I haven't updated my tiles when I took these screenshots

I also wondered why the new buildings Terminal1 and Terminal2 don't show up and deleted objects are still there. Well, I assume its a temporary problem in some part of the scenery building pipeline even though I'm not familiar with it. I don't think its a problem of some local setting or configuration.

as i just posted on the dev mailing list, i've not had a scenery update since 28 Jun 2018... i'm pretty sure that there have been new models uploaded since then... i'm just not seeing/getting them with terrasync.py for some reason... this may be related to the recent move to AWS but i don't know... i have all my scenery updating tools forced to pull from SF...

"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Due to the move to AWS hosting, there are currently no updates to the terrasync servers.
I still need to convert a few more scripts to be "cloud ready" but most of the work is done.
And once this runs, all submissions to the database will pop up automatically :-)

Thanks for you patience!
