"i'm guessing these are accurate RL spaces and there's also a good groundnet, too??" I dont have a better groundnet, somebody with experience can eventually do it, but at least i can add spawn spots

ok... i remember just around the release that there was a mess with the heli parking spaces... someone, i guess one of you guys, seems to have taken care of it and now doing a little more work... the main thing i was concerned with was the parking spaces being properly placed as in RL and not just some tossed in here and there because they look good ;)
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Thanks Mickey,

with that particular heli it took something to hide the fact that it's way too tail heavy.
Anyway, I've been crazy about helicopter simulation since the Commodore 64 came
out. However, the first memories of actually feeling like having a realistic flight
model came since X-Plane 7.

These days I feel like FlightGear has things in it that others lack like retreating
blade stall, more unpredictable ground effect more feeling of random
turbulence, ground effect over objects like tall buildings etc.

One can learn to be really good even with a HOTAS like the Saitek X52 without
pedals using the twist grip for pedals on the stick. And I've seen individuals who can
manage _well_ with a mouse and a keyboard too.

But it sure does help to have more heli like controls. This is what I've got currently:

And sorry for going off topic a bit...

i don't think it is all that much off-topic... it is related to the craft being discussed and is informative for the reader :)
others may disagree and move to split the topic so this portion becomes its own topic...

Also sometimes annoyed by the static models in the parking stand.
I think It would be nice if there is an option to remove them. It shouldn't be too difficult...?
