Weird, single or double-face exporter? sketchup version? OS? Do you tried with a small and simple cube or something else to be exported correctly?

Well I use the exporter which was suggested in FlightGearWiki (http://wiki.flightgear.org/SketchUp_to_AC3D_exporter).I haven't found anything else :/
I dont know whether its a single- or double-face exporter. I just noticed that colors are only shown in FG if both sides of the surfaces are painted (which produces much work -> solution a SketchUp AddOn).

Okay I removed all colors, some buildings, grouped and ungrouped... nothing happed. Finally I removed everything and left one cube - it worked :/
So it seems that the model is to complex for the suggested .ac-exporter... Well are there any other .ac-exporters for SketchUp?

"the model is to complex for the suggested .ac-exporter": I don't think so, as tests some time ago i exported really large projects without crash (maybe some seconds/minutes of freeze) but succefully exported. can you share the project so me or somebody can discover whats wrong?
"Well are there any other .ac-exporters for SketchUp?" No other skecthup exporters but maybe you can find some addons on sketchup community sites, i dont know. An alternative is to save it to a format readable for other 3d modelling software like blender or AC3D, but the best way is to resolve that sketchup issue.

If you send me your Skp file I'll have a look and see if I can find out why the export is crashing.

I've sent you my email address.

Dear Vic,
thanks for your help! I send you the file.
Before I tried to export I remove the groundlayer map as it is not needed in FG. I tried to group everything but it didn't help, too.
Maybe you'll find the mistake :)

By the way: I tried to export the model to .dae first and open it in AC3D. Exporting in sketchup works, importing in AC3D fails.

is this going to be put into terrasync??
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
