Help with OBJECT_SIGN {safety} syntax

Postby eric » Sun Jun 25, 2017 9:10 pm

Can someone help me understand syntax for OBJECT_SIGN {safety}? I'm able to place a sign at a particular lat/long/alt, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get a safety sign to lie down flat on the pavement. It stands up like the other signs, like OBJECT_SIGN {@R}27R for example.

Here's what I've figured out:

OBJECT_SIGN {<<glyphs>>}<<text>> <<long>> <<lat>> <<alt-meters>> <<heading deg>> <<size>>

So when making an OBJECT_SIGN {safety}, is there a way to change the pitch so that it looks like a ground sign?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

I'm afraid you can't ;)
Besides, the safety sign should be standing up.
If you want it on the ground, you need to make it in a 3D model using a texture:
For example

Ok thanks for that... and also for the info that the safety sign should stand. I actually was planning to make some other signs with Blender so I'll add that one to the list too.
Control tower to a 747: “United 239 heavy, your traffic is a Fokker, one o’clock, three miles, Eastbound.”
United 239: “Approach, I’ve always wanted to say this… I’ve got the little Fokker in sight.”
