Hello there,
I have started developing Scenery of India, and thought that I should start a forum thread for it so that people interested could join.

The work is going to be immense considering the fact it is the seventh largest country and the current state of the scenery in FG is really bad.

Image
This should give you an idea.
As you can see there are only 5 airports that are developed out of which 2 of them were recently developed by me.

So I plan to follow this order for development.
    1. Develop high quality airport layouts and generate them with better landclass data edited with QGIS.
    2. Model the terminals.
    3. Make the groundnet and AI traffic files.
    4. Model 3d objects of the monuments and other well known buildings.
    5. Make all the liveries of airlines in India (Should be easy since most of them are already there.)

Well now -- I think that Project Venezuela is in a pretty stable state, so I could take a look with you :)

Tell you what -- let's just focus on the airports in the order found in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_b ... s_in_India.

Well thanks lego.

The first five airports in that list is done( the WED work).

Since you're a WED artist I suggest you start from sixth (VOHS).
Also leave a note here whenever you start on an airport.

Thanks to Israel I now have a working terragear tool. :D . So I could generate them without bothering anyone(Read d-laser)

Bombay (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chhatrapa ... al_Airport) is not done -- I will do it.

At least, it is not in the gateway.

Ach, and I was already downloading WEDBING.

Anyway, VOMM has an error -- you need to add a forests exclusion zone to it, or it won't be accepted.
Either send me the apt.dat with the layout, and I will add the exclusion in WED and submit, or submit it yourself with the exclusion.

I don't think VECC has actually been done -- so I'll take a look in WED.

Nevermind, it has.

VIDP has an error -- the taxiways do not join the north runway properly.

Yeah I'll correct VOMM (It doesnt affect FG)

VIDP has an error -- the taxiways do not join the north runway properly.
That is strange, the gateway accepted it.

I know, but you need to fix it, since the yellow edge lines go halfway across the north runway from the south, and stop meters before the runway on the north side of the north runway. Just open it in WED.

So, where are we going to put this scenery after development. A Git I suppose? Or can you put in the Git I made. It's not a personal Git, but for a group of people or a team. Hope you would

What exactly do you mean by Terragit? Could you give me a link to something talking about it.

Will the VOTV Project be included in Project India. Just so that my works are there.

I just edited the post to include a link. And yes VOTV will be included.

If you come to mumble now, I can explain it. No need to talk just type.
