I guess it's something from outside of Terrasync.

I don't have that from Terrasync either. I just tried starting at OMDB with Terrasync enabled in 2016.2.1 and I get none of that. Terrasync is seriously annoying.

if you're talking about the two long terminal buildings, the tower and other hanger-like buildings, i assume they are standard models uploaded to the scenery database... i have them here as well...

i now realize my mistake above, too... i was thinking of OSM instead of OMDB... sorry about that

I uploaded the terrasync also when I switched to v2016.2.1. And that's the one that came up. But that's not the same one that this thread is about. I installed the scenery I had before for OMDB, which is better Go back a few pages and you will see the downloads for the Dubai custom scenery. It's WAY more detailed than Berkut's pic.

I'm trying to download the OMDB Models from SourceForge (https://scenery.flightgear.org/map/?lat ... 3&obj=5154). When I click on the link, It sends me some sort of Textedit code, not the actual model. Can someone help me with this?

Here it is, from page 4 of this thread.
Use the link below, and follow instructions in the "read me" file.

usually people use terrasync or terramaster to download (default, non-custom) scenery.
If you really want the single models, you can get them here:

(scroll down a bit)

I noticed that the Airports/O/M/D/OMDB.threshold.xml has priority over apt.dat.gz

I am using the latest apt.dat(*) and the in-game map was till wrong.
Then I removed 12R/30L from Airports/O/M/D/OMDB.threshold.xml and everything is correct now.

I've tried about a million ways to get the custom OMDB to load somehow and it never ever does. Is there a clear easy guide somewhere on how to go about it?

I should add that I'm now getting what Berkut got in his screenshot above, and that's despite downloading what pommeshranke linked to. In other words I downloaded from the link and pointed FGRun to it, and it loads as in Berkut's picture, so I'm not seeing this:

how to use:
Code: Select all
fgfs --fg-scenery=/scenery/OMDB-fg-CustomScenery

optional: (there is a missing space after fgfs in the readme)
Code: Select all
fgfs --fg-scenery=/scenery/OMDB-fg-CustomScenery/project3000  \
--fg-scenery=/scenery/OMDB-fg-CustomScenery/osm2city    \
--fg-scenery=/scenery/OMDB-fg-CustomScenery

/scenery/ is the folder or path where you did unpack OMDB-fg-CustomScenery to.

The order is important!
* first all folders without Terrain (project3000,osm2city)
* then at the end the folder with the Terrain: OMDB-fg-CustomScenery

The difference to other custom sceneries is, that this one is split into 3 folders instead of just one,
so that is easy to include project3000 & osm2city objects or not, depending on your hardware.

I noticed that AI Jetways are broken in 2016.3.1
here is a bugfix:

Ok, I think I'm getting there by looking more at both the path and order.

I just wish there were more detailed installation instructions for either launcher rather than simply listing the string of code with the assumption that the user understood where to put it, if you know what I mean. I essentially tried to put it in the correct order in three places (two places in the QT, one in FGRun) before finding a place where it worked, and I in addition to that had to take out all of the contents from "trunk" and put it in a new folder.

Maybe I'm just missing the instructions somewhere, but it'd really be better for those of us who are either dumb or have some other deficiency to make it fool-proof.

Still no A380s, or jetways. A fair amount of objects missing actually.
