At OMDB I only have transparency (alpha channel) in the png textures. The human eye/brain likes to interpret this as reflections because refrections look similar and that's what we are used to from real life.

For the big EGLL Tower windows I tried the chrome shader as a fake reflection:
https://github.com/legoboyvdlp/London-f ... -tower.xml

Code: Select all
<animation>
<type>shader</type>
<shader>chrome</shader>
<texture>chrome1.png</texture>

<object-name>windows.001</object-name>
<object-name>roof-window</object-name>

</animation>

Servus pommeschranke, I see, these buildings from the video (OMDB) have no reflections, just transparency and the buildings are behind, ;-) I'll take a look at the EGLL tower, yes maybe that is a passive reflection methode. Danke schön!

Also on this part, you can start developing yourself :D (not that we don't like you or so but many people will be more interested in their own projects then to make scenery e.g. for others :))
The airport layout (taxiways etc.) can be improved using WED (world editor), see http://developer.x-plane.com/tools/worldeditor/ and http://developer.x-plane.com/manuals/wed/ (therefor, please note that the scenery afterwards has to be generated using terragear or you have to wait for the next WorldScenery release) and you can easily place 3d objects like buildings and lamps etc. on airports using the "ufo", see here: http://wiki.flightgear.org/Howto:Place_ ... th_the_UFO
Also, you may have a look at: http://wiki.flightgear.org/Howto:Add_de ... ur_airport
The wiki's your friend! :D

Sorry if you meant you can't start WED follow these steps.

http://wiki.flightgear.org/WorldEditor wrote:Starting WED for the first time
X-Plane itself does not need to be installed before using WED. However, WED will require that you choose the X-Plane folder before it will allow you to do anything. Create a working directory with the following structure before starting WED for the first time.

working directory <-- Pick a name
|--Custom Scenery
|--Global Scenery
|--Resources
|--default scenery
NOTICE: WED looks for this specific directory structure and specific directory names !

Click "Choose X-Plane folder". Select the working directory for the X-Plane folder.
