oooOOOHHHhhh......... i'll bet that's why when i tried to fix the "terminal_2" animation problem in my install, it didn't work... i mean, maybe it did work but i still see the error in my log... apparently the original bugged object file is/was still being read and used... i was under the impression that the order of the directories provided an override so that default items could be overridden and replaced without actually deleting/removing them from the default installation... apparently this only applied to terrain and not objects or models or craft??

Today I extended the tool dsf2stg.py so that it also generates ICAO.jetways.xml files.
Not all types of jetways can be converted, but today it did convert 2025 jetways at 145 airports.

No update with Project3000 shared scenery objects, but..
Animated (AI) jetways for 259 airports in this new package:

This folder contains...

* 8474 groundnet.xml files (parking locations for 8474 airports)
with AI taxi routes for 1141 airports.
(made with aptdat2sqlite.py && sqlite2xml.py)

* jetways.xml files for 259 airports. Enable AI Jetways if you like to see & use them.
(made with dsf2stg.py )

Make sure you have enabled AI-> Jetway Settings -> Enable animated jetways

I suggest to put this Airports folder into a custom scenery folder. (next to it's Objects folder)


WARNING:
* use at your own risk!
* make a backup of your existing Airports folder
* this package does not contain ils,twr,threshold files!
* at some airports you will see duplicate jetways: shared objects from the stg file and the AI jetways from this package.
* the jetways will not fit exactly to the buildings
* at some airports you'll see jetways but no buildings because nobody made the terminal buildings yet.

Just a heads up. Looks like Ben will be updating the apt.dat format for x-plane 10.5. No news yet on what is planned...

How will this affect an airport such as YMML, where the parking space map and the terminal model don't match up precisely?

I am not suggesting that.
Everybody is free to decide what to use from this repo and what not.

I guess the one on the left is one of the 90 airports that have a groundnet made with taxidraw.
Before I ask somebody to commit anything to fgdata or terrasync I make sure that those don't get lost.*
You will find them in your TerraSync/Airports folder.
They are also included in this package:

* there is one exception: In the old EDDF groundnet the A+ terminal is missing, so it has some missing and some wrong parking locations.

YMML has a legacy/classic groundnet. I will replace it in my repo soon.
Can you move the building to it's correct location ?

Terminal should already be in the correct spot, was placed using coordinates.

the parking locations in the "classic" YMML groundnet don't fit to the real world / OSM data
