Nice work modeling Daweed! I'll use some of your textures, great quality! Some throughts: no need bottom faces or anything that can't be seen, you can delete these faces. For the night textures, you can edit the ac file and change the name of a object to be linked to the night texture and the xml file, so no need to apply the night effect to the whole model, just the selected objects on the model. Maybe you can only iluminate the glass faces but keep dark the other ones.

Hello,

Bad news, i had to delete my own repo on github, as my work have been forked without asking. I know that from the law, this is perfectly correct, but the thing is that the one who did that never ask. I discover that by myself following some link.
After talking, he didn't want to remove his fork ... so i can't keep sources of my project avail from public way.

So until some news, Lyon Saint Exupery Scenery will be only avail on TS.

Best Regards & sorry for the inconvenience

Hi daweed,

It's a pity, as I enjoyed watching the new buildings pop up in terrasync. I've flown in and out of LFLL quite a few times in RL, and I was looking forward to seeing the TGV terminal! I hope you continue to improve this elegantly designed airport.

Hello Guys. some questions please :

I just download & compile the 2016.3.0 with hope that Parking problem was corrected ... it's not.
(Problem still existe on 2016.1 & 2016.2)

I have Groundnet file (LFLL.groundnet.xml) in my scenery, wich was working until versions > 3.4 were out.

So :

1°) Is there a way to correct this ?

2°) How a so important thing is not on a top list "to be corrected" ..

I said it's important because it's what is normally use to spawn. Each time i have to spawn on a rw or on the pad, and then from inside the sim, use the menu to spaw to the good parking. => so my groundnet.xml file can be found and read and decoded, but not from the laucher

Parking are "visible" in the FGRun instance (when selecting where you want to spawn), on FGo it's doesn't avail

3°) Why the parking pos are not avail ?

4°) Since so many time have been spent from the 2016.1 release, Is it a statement from the FG Core group to not correct this feature ? Why ?
Dont tell me there so much thing so more important , it's about where to spawn.

Regards

The problem is mainly due to internal changes for the FlightGear roadmap, for standardising the code, and improve stability (in technical terms: among many other changes, the parking positions were dropped from the nav data cache to improve support for dynamic airports). This has broken things on the AI side, but I assume that the developer behind the AI code has been quite busy with real life to look into this. I tried to look into fixing this, but it was a bit much for me. If I find more time, I might look into it again. Anyway, a detailed message to the flightgear-devel mailing list with a good, isolated example at a not too complicated airport in the TerraScenery database (TerraSync) to show off this problem, and also where to look, how long to wait, etc. would significantly help in finding a solution.

Regards,
Edward

P. S. I might have misread your earlier message about your repository being forked, and thought you were giving up on LFLL. Keep up the great work, the TGV station is looking awesome!

@bugman, i am not aware of the deepside of the FG code, but i am talking about parking pos to spawn .. and u are answering about AI side ...

Sorry but i don't see the point between this 2 statements

I am open to feed some information on devel list, even if i am pretty sure to not be listen , but ok, what should i give [ fact is that i am not aware about what i have to send ] ? LFLL seems to be good for example (not so much parking pos and i have all information about parking pos and it is avail on TS.)

They are likely to be related - both are due to the same problem with the nav data cache. Is it just that you don't see the parking positions in the Qt Launcher? The best details would be simple step-by-step instructions to replicate the problem. If you send this to the list and James, Durk, or others can instantly replicate the problem, then we might have a fix in a very short time ;)

Cheers,
Edward

i ll try to send as much information i can, but didn't simply do nothing special
My parking pos are store in the LFLL.groundnet.xml file.
This file is store in my Scenery tree (Airports/L/F/L directory)

i don't see any special alert / warning / error msg in log except the "LFLL as no parking ... "

I can understand the related problem with the navdata cache, but that doesn't explain why they are not avail / visible on QT laucher.

And no i see the parking in FGRun but none of them work, each time i am spawn on the rw (and not centered on the rw, but clearly on the left)
Inside the sim, if i use the trick by the "menu position" , select aiport & parking in the dialog , but i have to know the parking name (parking are not showned in the select bar for parking in the position dialog)

in Fgo, i can't select a start pos, as none are showned
