Things here could be better. I had big problems with GPU since 8 months ago, and I can't run FG with the current old PC800 mghz that I'm using. :|

In the real life I'm gonna move soon to a little town with 7 of population where I've converted an old pig house into a tiny house, learning a lot about 3D real life rock and wood buildings methods.
I just wonder how to get internet in such MID-AGE village.

I have no facebook, but I'll search the way to connect with this always awesome FG project on which I found a lot of good people contributing to the software freedom.

He have had a lot of good times with unitedfreeworld.

Your coming back with a lot of contributions, please consider to release them in the FGMAGAZINE

Again, thanks for your work.

We'll be on contact.

sorry to hear about your GPU problem....

Recently i had the same issue as well...the GPU will overheats when in FG and it will crash the system....I thought my Nvidia GPU is failing....but not....

I do not want this section to turn in a tech support thread, but quickily this is what i did
1) move to linux mint ( takes less resource than ubuntu)
2) install FG
3) MOST IMPORTANTLY: DOWNGRADE Nvidia driver to OLDER version 173
and now it will work fine...

In both Windows and Linux, the latest NVIDIA driver causes overheating in some older Nvidia GPU cards....

feel free to drop me a mail anytime pal...

cheers

The download link for the VABB airport package (in fact, for all the unitedfreeworld downloads) seems to be broken.

Is there an alternative way to get VABB airport, or possible to fix the download link ?

TIA

Yet another project lost in the cyberspace.

The best way not to be forgotten: http://scenemodels.flightgear.org . Had this project been hosted there it would never have disappeared, as many others.

go here -> http://unitedfreeworld.com/flighgear-vabb-chhatrapati-shivaji-airport-bombay/
the download link is at the bottom of the page...

i went to the link that xsaint posted and from there, at the bottom of the page, i selected the flightgear area and then scrolled down and (luckily) found VABB listed...

[EDIT] everything in the archive is at least two years old... the readme file says that some models are CC but no indication which ones... [/EDIT]
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Do we have permission to submit it to Scenemodels? Looks great!

you must have missed my edit... some models are CC but there's no indication which ones... then what about the other models? i took a quick look and saw that there's apparently some static craft included with the scenery... seems to me that it would be better to use the existing ones in FG instead of bloating the objects directory with copies... but it was only a quick look at the raw files without loading them in FGFS...
